Nathan and I had a doctor's appointment this morning. It was nice to have Nathan there since he usually can't go when he is working. They did a few more tests and all is well. The baby is growing nicely (I'm measuring at 34 weeks even though I'm starting the 36th week tomorrow) and her heartbeat is just right: 140/150 bpm.
Mama is doing great too. My blood pressure continues to be a healthy low and I'm pushing 150 lbs. which is right where I "should" be : ) It's amazing to watch my body continue to change . . almost daily now. My back is still hurting a lot but seems a bit more relaxed. I am starting physical therapy tomorrow and hoping that will provide even more relief. The baby has started to hiccup which I will admit, really scared me to the point where Nathan was on webmd a couple of nights ago. But not to worry, it's totally normal at this point in the pregnancy. I love just lifting my shirt up when I'm lying down and watching her move like waves over my stomach.
The most exciting update for us is that she is head down and already in my pelvis! My cervix is starting to soften for labor. The doctor even felt the head today! While this is not an indication of when she will arrive, it's great to know that she and my body are working well together and preparing for labor.
We are enjoying a week together at home. I ended my job on Friday and Nathan is still on Christmas break until the 8th. Lots of projects around the house and time just relaxing together and enjoying the quiet.
Hope that this new year brings wonderful joys to you!

I'm getting so excited for you guys! Hiccups are the best. How hilarious that Nathan was on the web looking that up. Ahhh, new parents. I love it!
