Bob

I think it's safe to assume that whatever ideals I have going into this whole being a mom thing, most of them will go out the window . . . and I'm okay with that. I definitely read on parenting and ask my friends and family about their experiences but the truth is, until I meet this little lady, I have no clue what I'm getting into.

I would say that the same goes with pregnancy. I have had so many friends tell me stories about the million and one pillows they slept with to try and get comfortable. Nathan and I bought a body pillow a few months back that we fondly named Bob. Bob has stayed mostly in the closet but in the last two weeks, Bob has become a staple and kind of a road block in the bed between myself and Nathan. It's kind of a love-hate relationship we have with Bob.

Bob gets my hips nice and aligned so I can sleep on my side but Bob is also large and teal.

Something happened to my body this weekend. All of the sudden I feel huge when I'm trying to go to bed. I can't maneuver like I could . . . say, last Wednesday and now Bob has friends in the bed. I think I'm officially up to 5 pillows. 5 pillows people! This is the exact scenario that I thought would never happen to me.

So here I am . . . Nathan, myself, two cats, a kicking fetus and 5 pillows all sharing a queen sized bed. Tell me you're not jealous.

adorable.
I will definitely think of you when I spread myself all out in my double bed... of course, it's me and 4 pillows, and sometimes a 3 year old who has a nightmare... and when I think about those nights, I totally empathize.

first i buy you the breast pump, then you name your pillow after my boyfriend... this is getting awkward.

seriously though, it is moments like this you need to file away for future days, say for when she's six or seven and you get to tell her all the stories about the hell she put you through (mom's always embellish that part, right?).
