We have started a bedtime routine with Sanne that includes reading a few books. As I was reading Squishy Turtle to her the other day, she started to touch the pages and feel the different fabrics. I know that this might not seem like a big deal to you but to us, it was so incredible to see her make that connection.
She has also been loving naked time after I change her in the morning. I lay her in her crib and she holds on of the animals from the mobile and coos at the rest. I just love watching a baby learn. The smallest things seems like such a miracle!

You guys...Sanne is soooo beautiful. G.O.R.G.E.O.U.S. Also, Barbara thanks for sharing your heart in the last post. I've experienced anxiety on that level before and know it's a real struggle to gain "divine perspective" when you are in the midst of it. Anne Lamott's words encouraged me this morning. Thanks for posting them.
hey b. i actually did go blog stalking today and read yours and loved all that anne had to say. i was thinking about this line all day: I thank all my cranky callers for sharing, and I say, "Hey, you know the difference between you and God? God never thinks He's you." so rich. so much to learn there...
and i was thinking about you and your thoughts about the future... the trust thing. it's all really the same hey? thanks.....
Look out for alarming whales!! Yes, we love that book too!!
so besides being beautiful, sanne will be wicked smart too! you guys are doing an amazing job with that little lady.
can't wait to see you again SOON.
Did you know that presently a lot of libraries are offering programs for babies and their care-givers? This hot topic of "early literacy" is pretty exciting!
Our library got a Target grant for early literacy and it's going very well.
Oh...and can we use these adorable pictures of Sanna for our publicity??? (J/K)
