twenty-six eggs

Nathan and I spent most of the day freaking out. I went in for the ultrasound and blood test today which has now become a morning ritual. . . brush teeth, shower, get an ultrasound.

Anyway, we were waiting for the blood results to see if my estrogen level was too high in which case they would cancel the treatment. Just got the call that we are good to go. They are going to bring down my dosage and check on me again tomorrow. Looks like part one of the IVF procedure will still be Friday or Saturday.

It's amazing how many twists and turns this process is. I would never in a million years have expected to care about my estrogen levels but today . .

it was my world.

It's like everything you've ever hoped for in the future of your family hinges on this one result. It's a gross place to be.

So tonight, it's my favorite restaurant for dinner with my favorite guy . . oh, and the twenty-six eggs that are growing in my body. . . as my sister-in-law Charis said, the easter bunny has got nothin' on me.
