We are home owners!

It's been a whirlwind week for us. Last Friday we were told by our landlord that our apartment (and the one below) would be converted into a single family home. After getting all of our financial ducks in a row we hit the street and started looking at open houses. We have had a pretty good idea of what we are looking for since we had thought about buying earlier this Spring. Our relator showed us several condos and when we went into one on 1914 Chase in East Rogers Park we knew that it was the right one. We looked at it a second time and decided to place an offer. The offer was accepted, the inspector has reviewed that place and now the contract is in the hands of our lawyer. Hard to believe that within a week we searched for and found a condo! Our closing date will be on or around September 20th. So if you live in Chicago, get ready for us to beg you to help us move!

Love, LOVE the condo. You deserve a stiff drink (Nathan) and a giant piece of chocolate cake (Barbara) after the craziness of the past year. Here's to the condo, new jobs, and most importantly, baby of the coming, happy year. Ellis can't wait to visit and wreak havoc on your shiny new place. :D - Auntie B

Congratulations once again! There is something about coming home at the end of a long day to a place that is your own. It makes all the chaos seem worth it. I know you two will settle in nicely and give it your personal touches.

Congrats! Do you have a garage, too? I know the neighborhood and parking can be scarce.

Looks like you're my neighbors to the North now! (3 blocks) Congrats on the purchase! I was driving by the other night and I wasn;t sure which was yours. Are you the yellow brick building on the corner? -Coat
