There is something so energizing about opening the sun roof in the car for the first time. Or walking into our condo after being gone for the day and having that fresh smell in the house. The cats run around more, the smell of barbeque is in the air. Say what you want about the midwest but I love it for it's seasons.
We went for a walk to Indian Boundaries Park today and celebrated our new life. It's less than a mile from our home and a perfect stroll with Sanne. They have a pond with ducks, a petting zoo, tennis courts and a great playground.
I always love walking around the neighborhood because you notice things you never would in the car or on the bike. And I feel like we get an even more unique perspective when we start to see through the eyes of Sanne. I listened as Nathan explained how to make coffee to Sanne yesterday . . . with each instruction there were a million things that also needed to be explained. She doesn't know what a coffee bean is or what a filter is. She is familiar with the smell of coffee thanks to her mom's allotted morning cup but everything is so new.
Today when we walked and sat in the park, allowing her to feel one of her first warm breezes, I felt so blessed to have life slow down. To feel the sun again and to know that Sanne smelled Spring for the first time.
She sleeps in her swing as I write this, exhausted from all that she experienced today. I cannot wait to experience childhood again with her. Remember ant hills in the sidewalk cracks?

So cute standing there in her little leggings. Yeah Spring!!!
As jealous as i am of your afternoon, i got to spend some time with Grandma Jeanine. We oohed and aahed over grandbabies, and both feel that you have done an excellent job! For 10 pounds that lil' girl has an awful lot of personality!
Love to you!
