Carol's Room

Our cat Carol has been in love with the second bedroom in each place we've lived so why wouldn't she just assume that the baby's room was created for her? She sleeps in there all the time or flops around on the rug.

Below are some pictures of her room which she has graciously agreed to share with the bun come February.

I know, I know . . . I still have three months so I'm a spaz for having so much of it done already but I love doing it. Nathan and I actually sewed the bed skirt. Usually my sewing projects end up with me in tears and Nathan fixing the bobbin or whatever else went wrong but we really did it this time. (Thanks Linnea for the pattern!) And Nathan's wonderful cousin Amy/our friend Jamie helped us to reupholster the rocker we bought at an estate sale this summer. The crib is from a friend of mine/old co-worker June. I love that there are already special pieces from people who will be loving on this baby.

Love it! Don't fret about starting too early. With Jacob, the minute we found out we were having a boy (week 20ish) I started his room. It's so much fun!

Nice colors! Susan Sargent is kind of the new design trend in New England -- lots of bright colors that light up a room.
