Nathan and SanneToday is our five year wedding anniversary! Although I am thankful for Nathan each day, it's milestones like these that really make me stop and realize the gifts that I have be given.
Nathan and I were introduced by our friend Jamie in August of 1997 and started dating in September of that year. I knew that I was smitten with him immediately but at 18 years old you need to take your time.
Ten years later, I still feel an incredible connection to Nathan . . . and am so thankful that we can still have a relationship that continues to grow. When I look back to our wedding date and think about all of the emotions and dreams I had for us at that time I can honestly say that I am living that dream.
Nathan is such an incredibly gentle, loving and generous person and husband. He has encouraged me to grow, has stood by me to get through hard challenges and I cannot wait to see what the years to come hold for us.

man, i was just looking at the date and thinking... "isn't this the day barbara and nathan got married?" i remember painting it on that plate. how weird. anyway... happy anniversary. funny that i just went to your site to say that and then saw your post. haha
congrats to you two! i can't believe it's been five years...wow, time flies. and you must know that you and nathan are one of the few couples that actually make me feel like real and healthy love is possible (and you know how much it takes for me to say that...). those pictures are great...and i must say that i love the shorter hair! :) i hope you two take this day, and everyday, to relish in the love you share..the love that brought you together, supports you and created a beautiful little person! much love b.
Congratulations!! I was just thinking earlier this week that your anniversary was coming up. I remember receiving a phone call out of the blue one Wednesday in December of 2001 from Barbara---calling to tell me she was getting married. To that I replied..."so am I...on Saturday!"
5 years...and a beautiful baby...what more could you ask for!?!
O Happy Day to you both. Congratulations on five beautiful years together, with Sanne being the proof. Love to you three from the great northwest!
I do take credit for introducing you, the rest however, you two wonderful people have done on your own. I'm so very prowd! Love ya both! Congrats!
