In the Bleak Midwinter; I love

Today is the darkest day of the year. And to top it off, it is cloudy and rainy here in Chicago.

But I love it.

I love that tomorrow we will have more and more sunlight each day.
I love that I get to see my two beautiful nephews on Saturday.
I love that my daughter swims around in my belly with two fully developed lungs, ready for the outside world.
I love that my day begins and ends next to the man I love and admire most.
I love that I have T-4 work days left before my "maternity leave".
I love that I will give and receive gifts this weekend.
I love that I have friends that I have grown up with and still remain so close.
I love that Jesus decided to love me.
I love that even in the darkness, there is light. And I feel this and know this.
Merry Christmas to each of you!
