Lub Dub

I have a baby growing inside of me.

And this morning we saw our baby's flickering heartbeat appear on the ultrasound screen.

Through relentless dedication to the treatment, savvy doctors and a small miracle from God . . . our dream is real. There are no words to adequately describe the fullness in both Nathan and my hearts. We are humbled, honored, privleged, scared, cautious and joyful to grow this baby and love this child.

And we are so thankful that you are a part of this . . . your prayers, your gifts and your love will follow this new journey.

When the music changes, so must the dance. -African Proverb

In the weeks following a positive pregnancy test, we have been faced with the challenge to leave our identity of infertility in the past. We have learned so much of who we are, what strength we have in us and how much our hearts have desired a baby. We do not wish to forget our infertility journey but to use it as a positive force of dedication in our new dance.

Looking at the flickering heart today, I am reminded that there are things so much bigger than me. And our baby the size of a finger nail has already begun to tranform us

and for this we are thankful.

That flickering heartbeat on the screen is the most beautiful image in the world right now. I am beside myself with joy for you - you know that. Only now I finally get to shout it from the mountaintops! Hooray for you three!!
