Apples to Oranges

Every week I get an update on the baby's growth and usually put in on the blog. I was talking with Linnea on Saturday about how during the first 19 weeks the baby's size is often compared to a fruit. So I decided to share the growth of the baby week by week, in produce speak.

Week 5 Sesame Seed
Week 6 Lentil Bean
Week 7 Raspberry
Week 8 Kidney Bean
Week 9 Grape
Week 10 Kumquat
Week 11 Fig
Week12 Lime
Week 13 Jumbo Shrimp
Week 14 Lemon
Week 15 Orange
Week 16 Avocado
Week 17 Large Onion
Week 18 Large Sweet Potato
Week 19 Small Zucchini

Nathan, myself and our little grape are doing well. Morning (noon and night) sickness continues in full swing but I finish the progesterone with oil shots on Friday so I'm hoping that will give me some relief. Nathan, to no surprise, continues to be wonderful, supportive and patient.

Y'all went to the Body Worlds exhibit, right? Those embryos and fetuses are aMAZing - I couldn't believe the difference between 8 and 16 weeks - from little tiny alien pod to tiny human being! And to think that's what's going on right now! SO COOL.

The Body Worlds exhibit is amazing! We had seen it a year or so ago, just wish I could see it again now to really take it in. Incredible!

I remember when one website said that our baby was the size of a strawberry. William and I were just in awe of our little fruit. Now, I think I'm carrying a watermelon!

It is amazing how quickly they grow!
